Michael Anderer

Mr. Anderer founded his first company, TCG, when he was 22 years old. He grew the company, a systems integration and software development firm, to over 350 employees before being acquired by IKON (NASDAQ: IKN) 11 years later.

At IKON he led a five-member management team tasked with the challenge of building the company’s new Technology Services division. As manager of this new division, he targeted and led 33 acquisitions, growing IKON Technology Services from zero to more than 3,500 employees and over $550M in revenues within the first 15 months, before being promoted to IKON corporate. As part of the IKON corporate team, he focused on corporate strategy and development, reporting directly to the chairman, and sat on the executive committee.

He has extensive channel experience, including leading the creation of several industry consortia, such as USConnect (an international consortium of systems integration firms), for which he served as Chairman and CEO. Additionally, he served on several channel advisory boards including Microsoft, Novell, Citrix, 3COM, Xylan, and Fibermux.

Mr. Anderer is an investor in and a founder of several technology companies, including SiliconStemcell and S2, and serves as Chairman and CEO for both technology development firms. He is very active in mentoring entrepreneurs and helping them grow and transact their companies. He has participated in over 50 acquisitions, selling companies to industry leaders such as Microsoft, Veritas, Keynote, Avaya, and The Rockefeller Group.

He is currently on the board of Foray Technologies, Entirenet, Medicity, Pointserve, Realm Systems, Baltix and IPIQ. He served previously on the boards of Airclic, Futurevision, DBAC, Synergy Networks (sold to Rockefeller Group), Conita (sold to Avaya), and Entirenet (sold division to Veritas). He is a former member of the M&A Group/G100, an invitation-only group of top-level executives focused on mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Anderer has extensive experience in technology-related Intellectual Property, and has advised numerous companies on IP process, practice and strategy. In addition, he advises universities on technology transfer and commercialization of their IP portfolio, and serves as Vice Chairman of the USC Research Foundation. He holds several issued US and international patents, with more than a dozen filed and in process.

Mr. Anderer graduated from the MIT/Inc. Magazine 3 Year Birthing of Giants program, completed the YEO /Stanford Executive Program and was named Outstanding Young Alumnus of the University of South Carolina - College of Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
